Resolving Conflicts

NOTE: This is a course taught in the past through the NLP Institute of Chicago. We will also be happy to explore the possibilities in bringing this course to your organization. Call us at (847) 677-7950 or email us.

You can learn to understand the structure of disagreement and develop the tools to help people reach satisfying and lasting resolution to their conflicts. You will learn specific skills and procedures to resolve conflicts.

Who Should Attend: Educators, School Administrators, Managers and Supervisors, HR Staff, Marriage Counselors, Mediators, Consultants, and anyone interested in helping people resolve conflict and reach satisfying agreements.

You Will Learn to:

  • Establish rapport with the parties in conflict;
  • Let go of your own point of view to understand each party better and to get an overview of their situation;
  • Recognize and respond to incongruence;
  • Use verbal reframing techniques to loosen up seemingly fixed positions;
  • Ask a "magic" question to find deeper desires and hidden agendas;
  • Establish each party’s requirements for an agreement;
  • Find a shared framework for agreement; and
  • Work through the issues to reach agreement.

Through exercises, role-plays, and group simulations you will hone your skills and learn strategies for structuring conflict-resolution sessions to reach agreements that all the parties can live with.
