What You Will Learn

Under the gentle and expert guidance of Jan Elfline, you will learn about the unique relationship between coach and client, and you will learn specific things you can do to help your clients make decisions and take actions that are congruent with his or her Vision in the midst of the pressing matters that consume our lives.

Learn to enter into the Coaching State, a kind of focus that allows you to keep your attention on your client. Develop and use your abilities to step outside yourself and experience your client's situation from a number of points of view, so that you can help people more effectively.

You will learn specific processes to help your clients:

• Figure out what they really want
• Develop their own sense of  Purpose
• Align their actions with their values to reach their goals
• Balance the different areas of their lives for real satisfaction
• Step into their future and gain new perspectives about what is important in their lives
• Break down the big tasks that have overwhelmed them
• Develop daily habits that will support their new lifestyle.

Finally, you'll pull the pieces together as you develop and rehearse your own version of a Coaching Intake session, which sets the agenda and the tone for the entire coaching relationship.

You will receive a coaching handbook, including the forms Jan uses with her own clients. These include assessment tools, agreement forms for the coaching relationship. Also included are outlines for all the processes you have learned in the workshop, so you can easily use them with your clients.

Jan Elfline is founder of the NLP Coaching Institute. She was named a Master Coach by the International Coaching Federation in 1998. Jan is an engaging trainer who teaches coaching in Denmark, Hong Kong, and Chicago.
