Virginia Brubaker,
MA, LCPC

In addition to being a Director of the NLP Institute of Chicago, Virginia runs North Shore Hypnosis. She has had a private practice in Counseling for more than 20 years and does Divorce Mediation with Attorney Gail Schiesser. She took her first formal NLP training in 1981 and has been learning and using NLP ever since.

Before learning NLP, Virginia trained counselors in basic counseling skills, test interpretation, developing clients' job search skills, and related areas. Since learning NLP, her training repertoire has included basic NLP skills, the NLP Phobia/Trauma Pattern, Conflict Resolution Skills, the Andreas Grief Resolution Pattern, NLP Skills for Better Relationships, NLP Skills for Persuasion, NLP Skills for Creating Consensus, and Starting a Private Practice. She has also trained Addictions Counselors in using the NLP patterns of Reframing and Change Personal History to work with their clients. Sponsoring organizations have included Oasis Center, the NLP Institute of Chicago, The Covenant of the Goddess, Victory Memorial Hospital, and other social service organizations.

Virginia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and has a Master's Degree in Counseling. A growing part of her counseling practice is devoted to helping people lose weight, stop smoking, or reduce stress with hypnosis.

 She lives with her partner, Gail Schiesser and two somewhat quirky cats. Seminar participants and clients appreciate her warmth, humor, and large collection of Birkenstock sandals.

Recently, Virginia has put her training in art to professional use by beginning to sell her one-of-a-kind beaded jewelry and bead art.
